Telok Ayer Market (aka Lau Pa Sat or "old market" and Pasar Besi or "iron market") in Singapore's Central area - it's a historic Victorian cast iron structure in an octagonal shape originally built in 1894 on newlly reclaimed land, it is now used as a large food stall centre - the original structure was dismantled in 1984 to make way for a new MRT subway line, all the parts were placed in storage and the building was reconstructed using the original parts and reopened in 1991 - it's a stunning architectural gem with the incongruous atmosphere of a mall food court
