To make these new counting down pedestrian traffic signals truly great, they should also count down the amount of time until the light will turn green again (perhaps using red numbers instead of orange). It would remove a great source of aggravation to know exactly how long you're going to have to wait until you can cross the street. It's just a small thing, but since the technology is already there and has been installed, surely it's not an unreasonable request? A friend just pointed out to me something I completely missed.
