PLANT wins Nathan Phillips Square competition

Plant Architect & Shore Tilbe Irwin were announced the winner of the Nathan Phillips Square competition. For more information on the competing schemes see the Spacing Wire post or the City of Toronto’s website.

The rest of the team members were:

  • Theatre Projects Consultants (theatre consultant, S. Norwalk, Connecticut)
  • Vermeulens Inc. (quantity surveying, Richmond Hill, Ontario)

You know, I’m interested to see that the headline goes to “Plant architect and Shore Tilbe Irwin” with the rest all given as collaborators. As an admirer of Adrian Blackwell’s I may be partial, but wasn’t his name on the boards on display at city hall given equal prominence with the other two?
